  1. Oversee the daily operations and performance of the anesthesia technicians at Massachusetts General Hospital.
  2. Ensure the delivery of safe and efficient anesthesia services for patients.
  3. Develop and implement training programs for anesthesia technicians to ensure their skills and knowledge are up to date.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of anesthesia technicians, providing feedback and addressing any performance issues.
  5. Collaborate with other leaders and medical staff to develop and implement protocols and procedures for anesthesia services.
  6. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of anesthesia equipment and technology, staying updated on advancements and best practices.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the anesthesia technicians.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, medical staff, and patients to ensure high-quality and efficient care.
  9. Oversee scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage for anesthesia services.
  10. Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new anesthesia technicians.
  11. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to anesthesia services and ensure compliance within the department.
  12. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the anesthesia technician team.
  13. Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints related to anesthesia services.
  14. Collaborate with other departments and hospital leadership to identify and implement process improvements to enhance patient care.
  15. Serve as a role model for professionalism, ethical behavior, and commitment to patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree Or Certification In Anesthesia Technology, Such As A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Anesthesia Technology Or Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.a.t.) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Anesthesia Technical Role, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment And Procedures, Including Troubleshooting And Maintenance.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Supervise And Mentor A Team Of Clinical Anesthesia Technicians.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Record Systems And Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information And Procedures.
