- Develop and implement personalized strength and conditioning programs for patients based on their specific needs and goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement and create individualized treatment plans.
- Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Provide education and guidance to patients on proper form, technique, and injury prevention.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting programs as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient sessions and progress.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in sports medicine and exercise science to continuously improve treatment methods.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement group exercise and wellness programs.
- Act as a resource for patients, families, and colleagues on all matters related to strength and conditioning.
- Maintain a safe and clean exercise environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Represent the hospital and its values in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The National Strength And Conditioning Association (Nsca) Or The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm).
Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working As A Strength And Conditioning Specialist In A Healthcare Or Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Injury Prevention And Rehabilitation Techniques.
Ability To Develop And Implement Individualized Exercise Programs For A Diverse Patient Population, Including Athletes, Post-Surgical Patients, And Chronic Disease Patients.
