  1. Administer Radiation Therapy Treatments: The Senior Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients in a safe and effective manner.
  2. Develop Treatment Plans: Using advanced knowledge and skills in radiation therapy, the Senior Radiation Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans for each patient based on their specific condition and needs.
  3. Monitor Patients: The Senior Radiation Therapist will closely monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure proper positioning and accurate delivery of radiation.
  4. Maintain Equipment: It will be the responsibility of the Senior Radiation Therapist to maintain and calibrate all radiation therapy equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
  5. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: This position will require close collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and physicists, to ensure optimal patient care and treatment outcomes.
  6. Educate Patients: The Senior Radiation Therapist will educate patients on the treatment process and any potential side effects, as well as provide emotional support and answer any questions they may have.
  7. Keep Accurate Records: Accurate documentation of treatment plans, patient progress, and any adverse reactions or side effects will be the responsibility of the Senior Radiation Therapist.
  8. Stay Current on Industry Developments: The Senior Radiation Therapist will stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in radiation therapy to continuously improve patient care and treatment.
  9. Train and Mentor Staff: As a senior member of the team, the Senior Radiation Therapist will play a key role in training and mentoring new and junior staff members.
  10. Adhere to Safety Protocols: The Senior Radiation Therapist will follow all safety protocols and regulations to protect patients, staff, and themselves from any potential hazards associated with radiation therapy.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Radiation Therapist, With At Least 2 Years In A Senior Or Leadership Role.

  • Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.

  • In-Depth Knowledge And Experience With Advanced Radiation Therapy Techniques, Such As Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (Imrt) And Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (Sbrt).

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Mentor A Team Of Radiation Therapists.

  • Experience Working With A Diverse Patient Population And Ability To Provide Compassionate Care In A Fast-Paced Environment.
