  1. Coordinate and manage the scheduling of surgeries and procedures within the Operating Rooms.
  2. Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and accurate scheduling.
  3. Maintain a detailed and organized schedule of all surgeries and procedures.
  4. Communicate with patients to confirm surgery dates and times.
  5. Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure availability of necessary equipment and resources for each surgery.
  6. Monitor and track changes to the surgical schedule, making adjustments as needed.
  7. Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed for each surgery.
  8. Keep accurate records of surgery statistics and report any issues or concerns to management.
  9. Train and supervise junior OR schedulers to maintain consistency and accuracy in scheduling procedures.
  10. Stay up-to-date with hospital policies and procedures related to surgery scheduling.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  13. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
  14. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the OR scheduling department.
  15. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As An Or Scheduler In A Hospital Setting.

  • Proficient In Electronic Health Record Systems And Scheduling Software.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Equipment, And Supplies.

  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, And Time-Management Skills.
