
Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment, including but not limited to: radiology, surgical, anesthesia, and patient monitoring equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repairs performed, as well as equipment inventory.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments and medical staff to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in technology and equipment through training and professional development opportunities.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff and vendors to coordinate equipment repairs and replacements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with the procurement process for new equipment, including evaluating and testing new products.
- Adhere to all hospital confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide outstanding customer service to ensure patient and staff satisfaction.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or hospital administration.
Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Biomedical Equipment Maintenance And Repair
Certification As A Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Or Equivalent
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Systems, Including Diagnostic Imaging, Patient Monitoring, And Life Support Equipment
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Medical Staff And Vendors, And Providing Technical Support And Training To Junior Technicians.
