In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and efficient nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.The successful applicant must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts and possess at least two years of experience caring for pediatric surgical patients. Responsibilities: • Provide safe, effective, and efficient nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. • Maintain patient records and documentation according to MGH and departmental policies and standards. • Monitor patient condition and response to treatments, therapies, and medications. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure best patient outcomes. • Educate patients and family members on post-surgical care. • Ensure patient safety at all times. • Adhere to hospital policies and standards of practice. • Provide emotional support to patients and family members.
