Job Description

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room Pediatrics team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for providing the best patient care possible. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and efficient nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.The successful applicant must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts and possess at least two years of experience caring for pediatric surgical patients. The ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment is essential. We are looking for someone with a collaborative attitude and a commitment to providing patient-centered care in accordance with MGH and departmental policies and standards.If you possess the required qualifications and have a passion for providing exceptional care, we look forward to your application.

Responsibilities: • Provide safe, effective, and efficient nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. • Maintain patient records and documentation according to MGH and departmental policies and standards. • Monitor patient condition and response to treatments, therapies, and medications. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure best patient outcomes. • Educate patients and family members on post-surgical care. • Ensure patient safety at all times. • Adhere to hospital policies and standards of practice. • Provide emotional support to patients and family members.
