
Resource Specialist

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, as well as to hospital staff members.
- Manage and maintain inventory of resources and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with hospital departments to identify resource needs and develop efficient systems for managing those resources.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for resource utilization, including cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for staff members regarding resource inquiries and requests.
- Train new staff members on resource management practices and procedures.
- Monitor and track resource usage to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of resources.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in resource management to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on resource usage and costs.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives related to resource management as assigned by hospital leadership.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Or Public Health.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Resource Coordination Or Patient Advocacy Role.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Systems, Insurance Policies, And Community Resources Available To Patients.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
Demonstrated Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Problem-Solve In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
