  1. Conduct physical therapy assessments and evaluations for patients with neurological conditions.

  4. Monitor and track patient progress, making necessary modifications to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and proper techniques for activities of daily living.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress.
  8. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in the field of neurology.
  9. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards, in all aspects of patient care.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a positive and collaborative healthcare experience.
  11. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  12. Serve as a role model and mentor for physical therapy students and assist with their clinical education.
  13. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist with research projects related to neurological physical therapy.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
  15. Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient care and medical records.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Or Related Field: A Resident In Physical Therapy At Massachusetts General Hospital Must Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Have A Current And Valid License To Practice Physical Therapy In The State Of Massachusetts. This Ensures That The Resident Is Qualified And Authorized To Provide Physical Therapy Services To Patients.

  • Experience In Neurorehabilitation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Neurorehabilitation Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of The Complexities Of Treating Patients With Neurological Conditions.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Resident, Physical Therapy - Neuro, One Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Explain Treatment Plans And Educate Patients About Their Conditions.
