Job Description

Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for a highly motivated Research Technician who will join our research team and help drive innovative initiatives. In this role, you will support our research operations and provide technical solutions to complex research projects. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail. The Research Technician must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as biology or biochemistry, with at least two (2) years of relevant research experience. An advanced degree in a related field is preferred. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also necessary.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design and implementation of research projects, including data collection and analysis.
  2. Provide technical support for research initiatives, such as running experiments and analyzing data.
  3. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for research projects.
  4. Maintain accurate records of research results and collaborate with other research technicians to share information.
  5. Assess the accuracy and validity of data collected.
  6. Provide feedback to the research team regarding the progress and results of research projects.
  7. Develop and implement protocols to ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.
  8. Perform administrative tasks related to research projects, such as preparing grant applications and budgeting.
  9. Work independently and collaboratively with the research team to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  10. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create reports, presentations, and other documents related to research projects.
