  1. Provide exceptional patient care: As an RN in the Surgical Suite - MEE department, your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medication, and assisting with procedures as needed.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team: You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians, to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process. This requires effective communication and teamwork skills.
  3. Maintain patient safety: In a surgical setting, patient safety is of utmost importance. You will be responsible for ensuring all safety protocols are followed, identifying and reporting any potential risks, and taking immediate action in emergency situations.
  4. Document and record patient information: Accurate and thorough documentation of patient information is crucial in a healthcare setting. As an RN, you will be responsible for documenting patient assessments, procedures, and medication administration in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  5. Educate patients and families: Surgical procedures can be overwhelming for patients and their families. It will be your responsibility to educate them on the pre and post-operative process, potential complications, and discharge instructions.
  6. Stay updated on medical procedures and technology: Being a part of a culture of innovation and growth, you will be expected to stay updated on the latest medical procedures and technology. This includes attending training and educational opportunities provided by the hospital.
  7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures: As a representative of Massachusetts General Hospital, you will be expected to adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, patient privacy, and code of conduct.
  8. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor: Providing exceptional care also involves being compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families. You will be expected to maintain a professional and caring demeanor at all times.
  9. Take on additional responsibilities: In a fast-paced healthcare environment, there may be times when you will be required to take on additional responsibilities outside of your regular duties

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification.

  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Massachusetts.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent Education And Experience.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment.
