  1. Deliver Advanced Radiation Treatments: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for accurately administering radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer and other diseases, following established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Patient Care: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during treatments.
  3. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: The Radiation Therapist will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients, and communicate any changes or concerns regarding patient care.
  4. Conduct Radiation Therapy Procedures: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for setting up and operating radiation therapy equipment, monitoring patients during treatments, and making adjustments as needed.
  5. Maintain Accurate Records: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for accurately documenting all treatment procedures, patient progress, and any adverse reactions or side effects.
  6. Ensure Safety and Quality Control: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, as well as performing regular quality control checks on equipment and reporting any malfunctions.
  7. Patient Education: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for educating patients and their families about their treatment plan, potential side effects, and any necessary precautions to take during and after treatment.
  8. Stay Current with Industry Developments: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and industry developments in radiation therapy, and implementing new techniques and technologies when appropriate.
  9. Professional Development: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for maintaining their professional certification and licensure, participating in continuing education and training opportunities, and staying informed about changes in regulations and standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Clinical Experience In Radiation Therapy, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Treatment Planning And Delivery Systems, Including Varian And Elekta.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And Interact With Patients And Medical Staff.
