- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for academic programs and research at Massachusetts General Hospital.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of academic initiatives.
- Oversee and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for multiple academic projects simultaneously.
- Identify potential areas for improvement and present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or roadblocks.
- Manage and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to academic affairs and integrate them into project planning and execution.
- Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of project outcomes and make strategic adjustments as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the academic affairs team and other departments to ensure efficient and effective communication and collaboration.
- Support the recruitment and retention of top academic talent by promoting the hospital's academic programs and research opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the hospital's mission, vision, and values and ensure that all projects align with these principles.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement and implement new strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of academic initiatives.
- Represent the hospital at academic conferences, meetings, and events to promote our institution and build relationships within the academic community.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Project Management Within An Academic Or Healthcare Setting, Demonstrating The Ability To Successfully Plan, Execute And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Or Education. A Master's Degree Is Preferred.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing Teams, Including The Ability To Effectively Delegate Tasks, Provide Direction And Mentorship, And Resolve Conflicts In A Timely And Professional Manner.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders Including Faculty, Staff, And External Partners.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Academic Affairs Policies And Procedures, As Well As Accreditation Requirements And Standards For Academic Programs. Experience With Program Evaluation And Quality Improvement Is Also Highly Desired.
