As a Procedure Scheduling Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective scheduling of procedures for our patients. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical procedures and terminology.   1. Coordinate scheduling of procedures for patients, ensuring timely and efficient appointments.
  2. Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to schedule procedures and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
  3. Understand and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled procedures, including patient information and procedure details.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all necessary resources are available for scheduled procedures.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns related to their procedure appointments.
  7. Keep abreast of changes in medical procedures and terminology to accurately schedule appointments and answer patient inquiries.
  8. Work with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and scheduling protocols.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Proactively identify and resolve scheduling issues to ensure a smooth and efficient process for patients.
  12. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely billing for procedures.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current on scheduling best practices and hospital procedures.
  14. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Procedure Scheduling Or Patient Registration.

  • Proficiency In Medical Terminology And Knowledge Of Insurance Plans And Requirements.

  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills To Effectively Manage Multiple Schedules And Ensure Timely Appointments.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Scheduling Software, With The Ability To Learn And Adapt To New Systems Quickly.
