  1. Perform sleep studies using advanced technology and monitoring techniques to diagnose and treat patients with sleep disorders.
  2. Monitor and record patient's physiological data during sleep studies, including brain waves, eye movements, and breathing patterns.
  3. Ensure proper placement and calibration of equipment to obtain accurate data.
  4. Educate patients on the sleep study process and answer any questions or concerns.
  5. Analyze sleep study results and prepare detailed reports for physicians.
  6. Assist physicians in the interpretation of sleep study results and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and report any malfunctions.
  9. Follow safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  10. Stay updated on advancements in polysomnography technology and techniques.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  12. Provide compassionate care to patients and their families throughout the sleep study process.
  13. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  14. Participate in training and education sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (Cpsgt) Or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Credential From The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Sleep Disorders Center Or Laboratory, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of The Latest Techniques And Equipment Used In Polysomnography, Including Sleep Staging, Respiratory Monitoring, And Eeg Interpretation.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Familiarity With Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Standards For Sleep Disorders Centers, Including Hipaa And Joint Commission Accreditation Requirements.
