- Provide high-quality care to patients with foot and ankle injuries and conditions under the supervision of orthopaedic surgeons.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct patient evaluations, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the supervising physician.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care instructions.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparation and post-operative care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Stay current on developments in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Provide support and guidance to medical students and residents, as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in patient care.
- Embody the hospital's mission and values in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Orthopaedic Surgery, Specifically In Foot And Ankle Surgery.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Orthopaedic Anatomy, Physiology, And Surgical Techniques Related To Foot And Ankle Surgery.
Excellent Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
