  13. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques.
  14. Display professionalism and a positive attitude while representing the hospital.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Certification From A Recognized Phlebotomy Program, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).

  • Experience: Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Hospital Setting, Preferably At A Large Academic Medical Center Like Massachusetts General Hospital.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: Proficiency In Medical Terminology Related To Laboratory And Phlebotomy Procedures Is Essential For This Role.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Required To Interact Effectively With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment.

  • Attention To Detail: Precision And Accuracy Are Critical In Phlebotomy, As Even A Small Error In Labeling Or Handling Of Specimens Can Have Serious Consequences For Patient Care. Candidates Must Demonstrate Exceptional Attention To Detail In Their Work.
