1. Lead and supervise a team of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
2. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy department, following all established protocols and regulations.
3. Train and mentor new and existing pharmacy technicians, promoting continued learning and development.
4. Oversee the daily workflow and scheduling of the pharmacy technicians, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
5. Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to implement and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, medication dispensing, and patient information.
7. Monitor and maintain quality control standards, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
8. Communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and other members of the medical team to ensure optimal patient care.
9. Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
10. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and standards.
11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
12. Act as a role model for the team, promoting a positive and professional work culture.
13. Handle and resolve any escalated issues or conflicts within the team or with patients.
14. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new technologies and techniques into the pharmacy department.
