
Pediatric Psychiatrist
Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for a passionate and committed Pediatric Psychiatrist to join our team of dedicated mental health professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized mental health care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to helping children and adolescents with mental health issues, and have a passion for working with the pediatric population.Our ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, board certification in psychiatry, and fellowship training in pediatric psychiatry. The ideal candidate will also have experience in providing clinical psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and medical management to children and adolescents. You should have a demonstrated history of providing compassionate care, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. In addition, you must have a strong commitment to providing quality mental health services and an understanding of the unique challenges facing the pediatric population.
Responsibilities:
- Providing specialized mental health care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting
- Assessing patient mental health needs and providing clinical psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and medical management
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality care
- Developing a comprehensive treatment plan to address the mental health needs of the patient
- Demonstrating compassion and excellent communication skills when interacting with patients and families
- Maintaining professional standards of care and keeping up with the latest trends in pediatric psychiatry
- Documenting patient progress and ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date
- Participating in research and educational activities related to pediatric psychiatry
Board-Certified Or Board-Eligible In Psychiatry
Board-Certified Or Board-Eligible In Child And Adolescent Psychiatry
Licensed To Practice Medicine In Massachusetts
Familiarity With The Principles Of Pediatric Mental Health Assessment And Management
Excellent Clinical Skills In Both Psychopharmacologic And Psychotherapeutic Interventions
Ability To Work Effectively With Families
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Treatments For Pediatric Mental Health Disorders
Ability To Collaborate With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team
