In this role, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in children.   1. Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients to determine the need for polysomnography testing.
  2. Administer and monitor polysomnography tests on pediatric patients in a safe and effective manner.
  3. Interpret and analyze the results of polysomnography tests to aid in the diagnosis of sleep disorders.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients with sleep disorders.
  5. Educate patients and their families on the importance of sleep health and the results of their polysomnography tests.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and test results.
  7. Calibrate and maintain equipment used for polysomnography testing to ensure accuracy and safety.
  8. Monitor and respond to any technical issues that may arise during testing.
  9. Adhere to all hospital and industry safety regulations and protocols.
  10. Continuously stay updated on advancements and best practices in polysomnography and pediatric sleep medicine.
  11. Provide support and assistance to other members of the pediatric sleep medicine team.
  12. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards pediatric patients and their families, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
  13. Foster positive relationships with patients and their families, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the testing process.
  14. Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Polysomnography, Respiratory Care, Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Rpsgt) Through The Board Of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (Brpt)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Polysomnography, Preferably In A Hospital Setting

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Sleep Disorders And Ability To Interpret And Analyze Sleep Study Results

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Children And Their Families As Well As A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
