Job Description

The Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for a highly organized, passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Services Coordinator - Rheumatology. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and operational support to our Rheumatology patients and caregivers.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a strong commitment to patient-centered care and is driven to provide the best possible service. To perform this role successfully, you must possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize, and the capability to work independently. A Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of medical terminology, is computer proficient, and has experience with electronic medical records.If you are a team player who is as passionate about providing exceptional service as we are, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

-Provide exceptional patient service and operational support to Rheumatology patients and caregivers -Demonstrate strong commitment to patient-centered care -Provide excellent customer service and the ability to multi-task and prioritize -Work independently with minimal supervision -Develop a working knowledge of medical terminology -Have computer proficiency -Have experience with electronic medical records -Remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment -Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members -Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records -Assist with scheduling, registration, and billing processes as needed -Ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
