- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and their families, providing assistance and support throughout their hospital stay.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital staff to communicate any concerns, needs, or feedback.
- Address patient and family inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to resolve issues and improve patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure that patient and family needs are met and that processes and procedures are patient-centered.
- Conduct regular rounds in patient care areas to gather feedback from patients and families and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide emotional support and resources to patients and families during difficult or challenging times.
- Work closely with hospital social workers and other support staff to connect patients and families with necessary resources and services.
- Educate patients and families on hospital policies and procedures and assist in navigating the healthcare system.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient and family interactions and follow-up actions.
- Participate in hospital committees and initiatives related to patient and family satisfaction and quality improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in patient and family relations to continuously improve services and processes.
- Foster a culture of empathy, compassion, and excellent customer service among hospital staff.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Advocacy Or Customer Service.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Their Families In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Policies, As Well As Experience Navigating Complex Healthcare Systems.
Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Discretion And Maintain Strict Confidentiality.
