Job Description

The Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Patient Care Associate to join our team. We are looking for an individual who can provide excellent, compassionate, and patient-centered care while attending to the needs of our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for providing the highest quality of care. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field, or equivalent experience• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting• Experience in customer service and/or patient care• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and hospital information systems

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent, compassionate, and patient-centered care to patients.
  2. Demonstrate strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  3. Maintain a collaborative team approach with colleagues and staff.
  4. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  5. Keep up-to-date with medical terminology and billing procedures.
  6. Utilize computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and hospital information systems.
  7. Maintain and monitor patient records.
  8. Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
  9. Answer patient inquiries and provide education about hospital services.
  10. Communicate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure effective patient care.
