- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Oncology department.
- Assist with daily tasks and activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical staff.
- Assist with transferring patients and maintaining their mobility.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
- Comfort and support patients and their families during difficult and emotional times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards.
- Attend trainings and educational sessions to continually improve skills and knowledge in oncology care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care.
- Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Patient Care Assistant In An Oncology Setting.
Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.
Completion Of An Accredited Patient Care Assistant Program Or Equivalent Training.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Ever-Changing Environment, With Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate And Empathetic Care To Patients And Their Families.
