- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with lymphedema and develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and track patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on lymphedema management techniques and provide resources for ongoing support and self-care.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to occupational therapy services.
- Stay current on the latest research and developments in lymphedema treatment and incorporate new techniques and technologies into practice as appropriate.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program
Current State License To Practice As An Occupational Therapist
Certification In Lymphedema Management From An Accredited Program
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Occupational Therapist, Preferably In An Outpatient Setting
Knowledge Of Lymphatic Anatomy And Physiology, As Well As The Ability To Develop Individualized Treatment Plans For Patients With Lymphedema
