OR Equipment Technician

- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all operating room equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues with medical equipment and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment is properly set up and functioning for surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
- Monitor and track equipment usage and assist in budget planning for future equipment needs.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance.
- Train and educate staff on proper usage and care of equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Stay updated on new equipment and technology advancements in order to make recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations in handling and maintaining medical equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff, addressing any equipment concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Biomed Technician Or In A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Terminology, Including Or-Specific Equipment Such As Anesthesia Machines, Surgical Lights, And Surgical Tables.
Familiarity With Local And National Safety Codes And Regulations Related To Medical Equipment.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Equipment Malfunctions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Or Staff And Other Healthcare Professionals.
