Operations Coordinator, Operating Room

1. Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room department.
2. Manage and maintain all schedules and calendars for operating room procedures, staff, and equipment.
3. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure all necessary resources are in place for each procedure.
4. Monitor and track inventory levels of supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
5. Train and supervise operating room staff, including nurses, technicians, and support staff.
6. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all operating room activities.
8. Identify areas for improvement and implement new processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Act as a liaison between the operating room department and other hospital departments and external partners.
10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors and address any concerns or complaints.
11. Collaborate with the finance department to track and manage the budget for the operating room department.
12. Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in operating room technology and procedures.
13. Participate in hospital-wide committees and meetings to represent the operating room department and provide input for hospital-wide initiatives.
14. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the operating room department and make recommendations for improvement.
15. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the operating room department is in compliance with all infection control and safety standards.
16. Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members.
17. Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations that may arise in the operating room.
18. Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination of care.
19. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
