1. Assist surgeons and other medical staff in the operating room by providing necessary equipment and supplies.
2. Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
3. Prepare and arrange operating room equipment according to each surgical procedure.
4. Assist with the positioning of patients on the operating table and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
5. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as required, such as passing instruments and supplies.
6. Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
7. Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments after each procedure, following proper infection control protocols.
8. Assist with patient transportation to and from the operating room.
9. Keep accurate records of supplies and equipment used during procedures and restock as needed.
10. Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
11. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain current knowledge and skills in operating room procedures.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
13. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
