  1. Assist surgical teams: Support and assist surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff in the operating room to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.
  2. Prepare operating room: Set up and organize operating rooms with necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to procedures.
  3. Ensure cleanliness and safety: Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room at all times, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  4. Provide patient care: Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and prepping, and assist with post-operative care as needed.
  5. Monitor equipment: Monitor and troubleshoot equipment in the operating room to ensure proper functioning and notify appropriate staff of any issues.
  6. Communicate effectively: Communicate clearly and effectively with surgical teams, patients, and other staff members to ensure smooth and coordinated patient care.
  7. Maintain inventory: Keep track of supplies and equipment in the operating room and notify appropriate staff when inventory needs to be replenished.
  8. Assist with emergencies: Be prepared to assist during emergency situations in the operating room, such as cardiac arrests or other medical emergencies.
  9. Adhere to hospital policies: Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including safety protocols, infection control measures, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  10. Foster a positive work environment: Contribute to a positive and supportive work culture by treating colleagues, patients, and families with respect and empathy.
  11. Participate in professional development: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
  12. Handle administrative tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, record patient information, and maintain accurate documentation of procedures and supplies used.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Completion Of A Certified Operating Room Assistant Program Or Equivalent Training.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working In A Surgical Or Healthcare Setting.
