- Greet and welcome patients to the outpatient department with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist in preparing treatment rooms and equipment for occupational therapy sessions.
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and document patient progress and behavior during therapy sessions.
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans and exercises.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy space, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stored.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
- Continuously learn and improve occupational therapy skills and techniques through observation and feedback.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For An Occupational Therapy Aide At Massachusetts General Hospital Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Perform The Duties Of An Aide.
