  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs and materials for patients, staff, and community members.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and provide individualized nutrition recommendations for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate nutrition education and interventions into patient care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date on current nutrition research and guidelines, and incorporate into educational materials and recommendations.
  • Maintain and update nutrition resources, including handouts, websites, and social media platforms.
  • Attend and participate in community events and health fairs to promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness about the importance of nutrition.
  • Provide individual and group nutrition counseling to patients, as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and food services, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are communicated and accommodated.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations and businesses to promote nutrition education and resources.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of nutrition education programs and interventions.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay informed on hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Clinical Nutrition And Evidence-Based Practices.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams.
