  1. Oversee the daily operations of the General Medicine department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of nursing care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and feedback to promote professional growth and development.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action as needed.
  6. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and encourages open communication.
  7. Develop and manage the department's budget, making strategic decisions to optimize resources and meet financial goals.
  8. Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of patient care and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  11. Collaborate with other nursing directors and hospital leadership to develop and implement hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  12. Act as a liaison between nursing staff and other departments, promoting effective communication and coordination.
  13. Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new nursing staff, ensuring a diverse and qualified team.
  14. Handle any patient or staff complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, addressing issues and implementing solutions.
  15. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Massachusetts.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing With A Strong Emphasis On General Medicine.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Manager Or Director In A Hospital Setting.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Nurses.

  • Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In General Medicine, Patient Care, And Healthcare Administration.
