Job Description

Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Palliative Care to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical and communication skills and have a passion for providing comfort and support to patients and families facing serious illness. Our NP - Palliative Care will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and serve as a leader and mentor to other medical staff. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent care and support to patients and families facing serious illness through clinical practice and communication.
  2. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure patient needs are being met.
  3. Mentor and lead other medical staff in palliative care.
  4. Manage patient care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  5. Educate patients and families on palliative care treatments.
  6. Ensure that all palliative care services provided comply with hospital policies and regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
  8. Remain up-to-date on evidence-based clinical practices and treatments.
  9. Participate in research activities related to palliative care.
  10. Maintain a compassionate and caring atmosphere for patients and families.
