- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following established protocols and safety measures.
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Monitor patient's condition during procedures and report any adverse reactions or changes to appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintain patient records and accurately document all procedures performed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate interpretation of images.
- Educate patients about the procedure, answer any questions or concerns, and provide emotional support as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, regarding radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and procedures in the field of nuclear medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly dispose of radioactive materials according to established guidelines.
- Serve as a positive representative of the hospital and contribute to its overall mission and values.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification In Nuclear Medicine Technology From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Operating Various Nuclear Medicine Equipment And Software, Such As Spect/Ct And Pet/Ct.
Strong Understanding Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Ability To Ensure Compliance With Regulatory Guidelines.
