  1. Provide support and care to patients struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders.
  2. Utilize strong understanding of mental health and addiction to guide and assist patients in their recovery journey.
  3. Work closely with other members of the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  4. Establish a positive and supportive relationship with patients to help them feel comfortable and motivated during their treatment.
  5. Monitor and document patients' progress and behaviors, reporting any concerns or changes to the treatment team.
  6. Assist patients in developing coping skills and strategies to manage their addiction and maintain sobriety.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  8. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  9. Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery, and available resources.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth in the field of mental health and addiction treatment.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education And Certification: Candidates Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Counseling. They Should Also Hold Current Certification In Mental Health And/Or Substance Abuse Counseling.

  • Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Mental Health Or Substance Abuse Treatment Setting Is Preferred. This May Include Internships, Volunteer Work, Or Previous Employment In A Similar Role.

  • Understanding Of Mental Health And Addiction: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders And Addiction, Including The Latest Evidence-Based Treatments And Interventions. Knowledge Of Current Research And Treatment Modalities Is Highly Desirable.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For A Mental Health Technician, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Actively Listen And Empathize With Others.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Per Diem Position, Candidates Should Be Flexible And Able To Adapt To Changing Schedules And Responsibilities. This May Include Working Evenings, Weekends, Or Holidays, As Well As Being Able To Handle A Variety Of Tasks And Patient Needs. The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Also Important.
