
Mental Health Specialist, 16 Hour Night Weekend - Dissociative Disorders

- Provide support and compassionate care to patients with dissociative disorders on a part-time basis in the Dissociative Disorders unit.
- Utilize knowledge and understanding of mental health to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and progress.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive environment.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards, in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of mental health and apply this knowledge in providing care to patients.
- Act as an advocate for patients to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their personal information.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and cultural competence in working with a diverse patient population.
- Display a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the hospital in a positive light.
- Act as a role model for colleagues and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Master's Degree In Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Or Social Work From An Accredited Institution.
Current State Licensure As A Mental Health Professional (E.g. Lpc, Lmhc, Lcsw) With Specialized Training In Dissociative Disorders.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Dissociative Disorders In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Therapeutic Approaches For Treating Dissociative Disorders, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy And Trauma-Focused Therapy.
Ability To Work Weekends And Overnight Shifts, As Well As Flexibility To Adjust Work Schedule As Needed To Meet The Needs Of Patients.
