Job Description

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Dosimetrist to join our team of radiation oncology professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and verifying radiation treatment plans that are tailored to meet each patient’s individual needs. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.The ideal candidate for this role will possess at least five years of medical dosimetry experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and certification as a Medical Dosimetrist. A strong understanding of radiation physics, anatomy, and physiology is also preferred. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and verify radiation treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  2. Monitor patient radiation dosages and maintain treatment records.
  3. Collaborate with radiation oncology professionals to ensure accuracy and accuracy of treatments.
  4. Assist in dosimetry research projects and provide technical guidance to other staff.
  5. Maintain a high degree of professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  6. Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departments and personnel.
  7. Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with dosimetry developments and advancements.
