Job Description

  1. Conduct mammography screenings and diagnostic tests on patients using specialized equipment and techniques.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  3. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control and radiation safety guidelines.
  4. Monitor and assess patient comfort and well-being during procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging results and any necessary follow-up appointments.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements in mammography technology and techniques, incorporating them into daily practice.
  8. Educate patients on the importance of mammography screenings and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  10. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting and assisting colleagues as needed.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  14. Serve as an ambassador for the department and hospital, promoting our mission, values, and services to the community.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field

  • Arrt Certification In Mammography

  • State Licensure As A Radiologic Technologist

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Mammography Imaging

  • Strong Knowledge Of Breast Anatomy And Pathology, As Well As Experience With Specialized Imaging Techniques Such As Tomosynthesis And Breast Mri.
