As a Lamp Changer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our hospital by ensuring that all lamps and lighting fixtures are properly maintained and replaced as needed.   1. Ensure all lamps and lighting fixtures are in proper working condition throughout the hospital.
  2. Regularly inspect and replace lamps and lighting fixtures as needed.
  3. Maintain a detailed record of all lamp and lighting fixture replacements.
  4. Operate and maintain necessary tools and equipment for lamp and lighting fixture replacements.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling and replacing lamps and lighting fixtures.
  6. Communicate any issues or concerns with lighting to the appropriate department for further action.
  7. Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure all lighting needs are met.
  8. Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies for lamp and lighting replacements.
  9. Respond promptly to requests for lamp and lighting replacements from hospital staff.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  11. Stay updated on new lighting technology and make recommendations for improvements.
  12. Work independently and efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  13. Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  14. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  15. Continuously strive to improve efficiency and safety in lamp and lighting maintenance processes.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Lamp Changer At Massachusetts General Hospital Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Prior Experience In Maintenance Or Electrical Work: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In Maintenance Or Electrical Work, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: The Lamp Changer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Be Able To Adhere To Them At All Times.
