- Ensure all lamps and lighting fixtures are in proper working condition throughout the hospital.
- Regularly inspect and replace lamps and lighting fixtures as needed.
- Maintain a detailed record of all lamp and lighting fixture replacements.
- Operate and maintain necessary tools and equipment for lamp and lighting fixture replacements.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling and replacing lamps and lighting fixtures.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with lighting to the appropriate department for further action.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure all lighting needs are met.
- Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies for lamp and lighting replacements.
- Respond promptly to requests for lamp and lighting replacements from hospital staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Stay updated on new lighting technology and make recommendations for improvements.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve efficiency and safety in lamp and lighting maintenance processes.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Lamp Changer At Massachusetts General Hospital Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Prior Experience In Maintenance Or Electrical Work: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In Maintenance Or Electrical Work, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: The Lamp Changer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Be Able To Adhere To Them At All Times.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: This Job May Require Standing, Bending, And Lifting For Extended Periods, So Candidates Should Have Good Physical Stamina And Dexterity.
