1. Greet and welcome patients and their families to the labor and delivery unit with warmth and compassion.
2. Register patients upon arrival and accurately enter their personal and medical information into the hospital system.
3. Verify insurance coverage and communicate any necessary information to the patient.
4. Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely and efficient admission of patients.
5. Assist with scheduling appointments and procedures for patients.
6. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
7. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
8. Collaborate with other hospital departments to facilitate the transfer of patients to and from the labor and delivery unit.
9. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment in the labor and delivery unit.
10. Provide support to healthcare providers during procedures and assist with patient care as needed.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
12. Participate in ongoing training and education on labor and delivery processes and procedures.
13. Communicate any patient concerns or issues to appropriate healthcare providers.
14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
