Job Description

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registrar to join our world-class team of medical professionals. Our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the processes and procedures of labor and delivery, as well as a commitment to excellence in patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for registering and managing information for all labor and delivery patients.The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. In addition, we require a minimum of two years of labor and delivery experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. A college degree in a related field is preferred. Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and register labor and delivery patients upon arrival.
  2. Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and payment methods.
  3. Ensure that all required documents are completed accurately and efficiently.
  4. Enter and maintain patient records in an electronic health record system.
  5. Schedule appointments and manage incoming and outgoing patient information.
  6. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of patient billing and payments.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
  8. Respond to inquiries from patients and families in a timely manner.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives for the labor and delivery department.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.
