1. Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and protocols in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
2. Conduct regular risk assessments and surveillance activities to identify potential sources of infection and implement necessary interventions.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to educate and train staff on infection control practices and ensure adherence to protocols.
4. Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in infection prevention and control, and incorporate best practices into hospital protocols.

9. Collaborate with the quality improvement team to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in infection prevention and control.
10. Lead and participate in research projects related to infection prevention and control, and disseminate findings to improve practices and patient outcomes.
11. Develop and maintain infection control related policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
12. Maintain accurate and detailed records of infection control activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
13. Act as a liaison between the hospital and local, state, and national health departments regarding infection control and prevention matters.
14. Participate in emergency preparedness activities and develop plans to prevent and control infections during public health emergencies.
15. Serve as a role model for infection control practices and promote a culture of safety throughout the hospital.
