
Histology Supervisor

As the Histology Supervisor, you will play an integral role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our histology laboratory operations. - Oversee and manage all aspects of the histology laboratory, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CLIA and CAP guidelines.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all histology procedures and processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of laboratory staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
- Train new staff members on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all laboratory activities.
- Coordinate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of histology results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies in laboratory results.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
- Stay current with advancements and developments in histology techniques and procedures, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by departmental leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Histotechnology, Biology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Histology Laboratory, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.
Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) Or Histotechnician (Ht) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Strong Knowledge Of Histology Techniques, Equipment, And Quality Control Measures.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
