Job Description

Are you a passionate Health Communications professional looking to make a real impact? The Recovery Research Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Health Communications expert! In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic, innovative, and creative communications plans to further our mission.We are looking for a candidate who is motivated, creative, organized, and has a passion for health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field and a minimum of two years of experience in a communications or public relations role. Familiarity with health and wellness topics and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, from patients to clinicians, is a must.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic and creative communications plans to further the mission of the Recovery Research Institute at Massachusetts General Hospital.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Research and write content related to health and wellness topics.
  4. Monitor and analyze media coverage of the Recovery Research Institute and health and wellness topics.
  5. Develop and manage effective campaigns to advance the mission of the Institute.
  6. Work with the Institute’s staff to develop and implement effective public relations strategies.
  7. Design and produce communications materials, including print and digital media.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in health and wellness.
  9. Assist with special projects and events as needed.
