Certified Personal Trainer: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification Such As Acsm, Nasm, Or Ace. This Ensures That They Have A Strong Foundation In Exercise Science And Are Qualified To Create Safe And Effective Workout Programs For Clients.
Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Science Or Related Field: A Degree In Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of Human Anatomy And Physiology, As Well As Exercise Principles. This Education Is Crucial In Providing Evidence-Based Fitness Instruction And Programming.
Experience Working With Diverse Populations: Massachusetts General Hospital Serves A Diverse Patient Population, And The Fitness Instructor Should Be Able To Work With Clients Of All Ages, Abilities, And Backgrounds. Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting Or With Special Populations Is Highly Desirable.
Cpr And First Aid Certification: As A Healthcare Facility, Massachusetts General Hospital Requires All Employees To Be Certified In Cpr And First Aid. This Is Essential In Case Of A Medical Emergency During A Workout Session.
