  1. Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with department heads and staff to identify and address specific safety concerns and develop solutions.
  4. Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices.
  5. Monitor and maintain records of safety incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions to track trends and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Conduct investigations into safety incidents and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
  7. Stay current on all relevant environmental health and safety regulations and provide guidance and support to ensure compliance.
  8. Serve as a resource and point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and issues.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations to stay informed of industry best practices and changes in regulations.
  10. Participate in emergency response planning and implementation to ensure the safety of employees and patients in the event of a crisis.
  11. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  12. Monitor and report on the organization's sustainability efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Continuously assess the effectiveness of safety protocols and procedures and make recommendations for enhancements and updates as needed.
  14. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in environmental health and safety.
  15. Act as an advocate for a culture of safety within the organization and promote the importance of safety to all employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Health & Safety, Including Osha, Epa, And Joint Commission Standards.

  • Proven Experience In Developing And Implementing Comprehensive Safety Programs, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Providing Training To Employees.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Hospital.
