
Endoscope Sterile Processing Technician

- Perform daily cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of all endoscopes used in the hospital according to established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure that all endoscopes are properly inspected and maintained for optimal performance.

- Keep accurate records of all endoscope processes, including cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of endoscope cleaning supplies and equipment.

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and timely turnaround of endoscopes for procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for endoscope cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following aseptic techniques at all times.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on new technologies and techniques related to endoscope cleaning and processing.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding endoscope processing and safety protocols.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and protect patient privacy at all times.

Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Sterilization Techniques And Protocols, Including Knowledge Of High-Level Disinfection, Steam Sterilization, And Ethylene Oxide Sterilization.
Familiarity With Endoscope Reprocessing: Applicants Should Have Experience With The Reprocessing Of Endoscopes, Including Cleaning, Disinfection, And Storage Procedures. Experience With Flexible And Rigid Endoscopes Is Preferred.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Follow Detailed Protocols And Accurately Complete Documentation Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure The Safety And Effectiveness Of Endoscope Reprocessing.
Sterile Processing Certification: A Certification In Sterile Processing, Such As The Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (Cfer), Is Preferred For This Position.
Teamwork Skills: Endoscope Sterile Processing Technicians Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Nurses, Physicians, And Other Sterile Processing Staff. Candidates Should Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Ensure Smooth And Efficient Operations.
