  1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to Massachusetts General Hospital's Emergency Department (ED).
  2. Provide administrative support to the ED team, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
  3. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times, providing exceptional customer service to all individuals.
  4. Ensure the efficient flow of patients by monitoring wait times, coordinating with medical staff, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the ED main desk area.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to provide updates, answer questions, and address any concerns.
  7. Assist with the intake and registration of patients, ensuring accurate and complete information is collected.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the hospital to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA guidelines.
  10. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience and increase efficiency.
  11. Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay updated on hospital procedures and protocols.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the ED Manager or supervisor.
