1. Provide chairside assistance to dental providers during various dental procedures.
2. Prepare and set up dental instruments, materials, and equipment for each patient visit.
3. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure proper infection control protocols are followed.
4. Conduct patient intake procedures, including taking and recording medical and dental histories.
5. Assist with patient education and post-operative instructions, as directed by dental providers.
6. Take and develop dental x-rays as needed.
7. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and charts.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
9. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with infection control standards.
10. Order and stock dental supplies and maintain inventory levels.
11. Schedule patient appointments and ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
12. Provide support to front desk staff, including answering phone calls and addressing patient inquiries.
13. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
14. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
15. Assist with other administrative and clinical tasks as needed.
