- Manage the credentialing process for all healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Ensure that all healthcare providers meet the hospital's credentialing standards and have the necessary qualifications and licenses to provide care.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to gather and verify all necessary documentation for credentialing, including licenses, certifications, and background checks.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as Human Resources, Legal, and Medical Staff Services, to ensure timely and accurate completion of the credentialing process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for all healthcare providers, including tracking expiration dates and renewals.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new healthcare providers, including orientation and training on hospital policies and procedures.
- Stay current with state and federal regulations related to credentialing and make necessary updates to hospital policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with credentialing standards and identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
- Provide regular reports and updates to hospital leadership on the status of credentialing for all healthcare providers.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for healthcare providers regarding credentialing inquiries and concerns.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Credentialing And Privileging Processes In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Credentialing And Privileging, Including Cms, Tjc, And Ncqa.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail In Managing And Maintaining Accurate Credentialing Files And Records.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Various Departments, Providers, And External Agencies.
