Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston is looking for an experienced and highly organized Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator - Infectious Diseases to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of infectious diseases, medication therapy, and patient care. This position requires excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in order to provide the best possible care to our patients. The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program, be licensed as a pharmacist in Massachusetts, and have a minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or health care setting. In addition, the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers is essential. Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and standards related to clinical pharmacy services.
- Provide medication therapies to patients with infectious diseases.
- Monitor drug therapy regimens to ensure effectiveness and safety.
- Provide medication education and counseling for patients.
- Develop and implement protocols for the monitoring and evaluation of drug therapies.
- Develop and participate in clinical research projects related to infectious diseases.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Provide quality assurance for all clinical pharmacy activities.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
- Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for health care providers.
