Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston is looking for an experienced and highly organized Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator - Infectious Diseases to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of infectious diseases, medication therapy, and patient care. This position requires excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in order to provide the best possible care to our patients. The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program, be licensed as a pharmacist in Massachusetts, and have a minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or health care setting. In addition, the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers is essential. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about patient care and has a strong commitment to providing the highest level of quality service. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and standards related to clinical pharmacy services.
  2. Provide medication therapies to patients with infectious diseases.
  3. Monitor drug therapy regimens to ensure effectiveness and safety.
  4. Provide medication education and counseling for patients.
  5. Develop and implement protocols for the monitoring and evaluation of drug therapies.
  6. Develop and participate in clinical research projects related to infectious diseases.
  7. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers to provide the best possible care to patients.
  8. Provide quality assurance for all clinical pharmacy activities.
  9. Develop and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for health care providers.
